Carlos Cortés

Can you combine avant-garde music with old music? Of course you can, and the group of Carlos Cortes Bustamante gets it by far. Neat arrangements, hook melodies and completely new rhythmic proposals that have logic equivalent to lifelong styles. Here flamenco, jazz, Latin music, African groove, Andalusian roots, South American music and Spanish folk music are mixed with an amazing naturalness creating new musical forms of careful construction.

The concert offers a wide range of timbric contrasts wich evokes the deepest feelings through an hour of pure music. Flamenco guitar and Iberian Laud. Cuban four, transverse flute, trombone, piccolo and different percussions merged in a developed rhythmic language contrasting with a profound voice singing.
