The quartet led by Javier Navas is a visit to an authentic and modern jazz repertoire, a band where Javier’s vibraphone is develops with greater doses of expression and energy.
Since 2014, Javier has been working with a rhythmic section of proven musical quality. Juan Galiardo (Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Magnarelli, Dick Oatts, Dave Santoro, Gregory Hutchinson) on the piano. Bori Albero (Chano Dominguez, Lee Konitz, Dado Moroni, Barry Harris) on double bass. And Dani Domínguez (Jorge Pardo, Chano Domínguez, Perico Sambeat, Kase.O) on drums.
The group has created its own language through more than one hundred concerts in these years, performing a wide repertoire under the authorship of
Javier Navas; repertoire that is underpinned in 2016 with the arrival of Enrique Oliver to the tenor saxophone to complete the front line, turning the quartet into an
heterogeneous group of five members.
